Kreider “I’m a Ranger”

Chris Kreider is not concerned about the trade deadline and isn’t worrying about things that are not in his control. So far the Rangers and Kreider have not discussed a contract extension and the outcome seems obvious. Like Mats Zuccarello and Rick Nash before him, he is likely being traded at the deadline.

“I’ve only ever pictured myself in a Rangers jersey,” Kreider said. “So until I’m not a Ranger, I’m a Ranger.”

Lias Andersson

We reported on 1/5 that Lias was going to be loaned to the SHL.

Now what needs to be made clear is that the Rangers do not need to just throw in Andersson as a sweetener at the deadline. They can allow him to improve his value and move him at the draft for what could be a better deal anyway.

Devils Interested In Georgiev

Interesting tidbit from The 4th Period, but it appears the goalie starved Devils are interested in Georgiev. A trade across the Hudson could happen, but I find it unlikely.
