The New York Rangers have had a long week off and will get back at it tonight a little healthier and with a new look lineup.

Injury Updates

Vlad Namestnikov will be back in the lineup and the Rangers desperately need his grit and scoring touch. Mats Zuccarello practiced but is being held out for precautionary reasons. Pavel Buchnevich and Adam McQuaid both practiced but are not yet ready to comeback. Buchnevich who suffered a broken hand was hoping to be ready for tonight but he was skating with the extras at practice so he will likely return next week

New Look Rangers: Hayes on the wing

Kevin Hayes looks like he will be shifting back to the wing after having practiced there all week. This is the position where he opened eyes at in college with Johnny Gaudreau as his center. I’ve also stated over and over that the Rangers should have never changed his position because his size and game make him more dangerous coming off the wall.

David Quinn is also putting him in a position to succeed as he’s on the top line with Kreider and Zibanejad. It will be very interesting to see how the new lines shake out, but most importantly how Hayes performs on the wing.

Brady Skjei will also return to the lineup, bumping Brendan Smith from the lineup. He will be paired with offensive blue liner, Tony DeAngelo for the contest against Florida.

Coach Quinn answers fans questions

The Rangers gave fans on Twitter the opportunity to ask coach Quinn some questions. They ranged from silly to serious. Here’s the best one.
