Rangers Roundup: Reactions to loss, Shesterkin on the mend, and more
Here’s the latest news on the Rangers and today’s stories recap.
Mika and Henrik react
Shesterkin on the mend
Yeah, he feels a lot better. He’s been on the ice and taking some shots but nothing high. He might be back sooner then we envisioned but it is an injury (fractured ribs) that you’re going to have to monitor daily. The guy has made a lot of progress in a week.
David Quinn on Shesterkin
This is great news for the team as Shesterkin was red hot prior to the accident. More information will come later this week and a clearer picture for his return is imminent.
No Call Up…yet
We discussed yesterday who the Rangers may call up for Kreider. We mentioned Steven Fogarty, Vinni Lettieri, and Vitali Kravtsov but it is unlikely to happen today. Last night there were no scratches for the Wolf Pack against Bridgeport. Greg McKegg was back in and according to David Quinn, the Rangers will hold off on any call up. The Rangers used 2 of 4 transactions when they made Brett Howden and Julien Gauthier eligible for the AHL playoffs
