Rangers Roundup: Stepan Hurt, Captain Watch and More AV (9/21/14)
We go around the horn on some updates over the last few days.
DEREK STEPAN SAYS “OUCH”
The Rangers announced that Derek Stepan is having a foot issue and is day-to-day.

No need to overreact here. It’s probably a small bruise and one they are being cautious with. If today were opening night, he’d play.
CAPTAIN WATCH
First off, I want to thank AV for not naming a captain when camp opened. He literally provided days of content following this story. Here’s McDonagh on the “C”.
“There are 20 something leaders on this team. It’s not just about which players wear letters.; and that’s a great thing”-@RMcDonagh27 #NYRTC

Enjoy this great 1 on 1 from Jim Cerny and Blueshirts United:
MORE AV
Listen, he’s no John Tortorella at a presser, but AV is showing a very sly comedic style of his own and I like it.
AV draws a laugh at presser. Can’t remember Danny Kristo’s first name because he calls him “Monte.”

AV also dished on Zucc and his conditioning (.17), Dan Boyle’s presence and PP usage (1:25), line combos (3:03), Kevin Hayes (3:44 & 5:15), JT Miller and “Monte” Kristo (4:20), Rick Nash best conditioned athlete on the team (4:48), and JT Miller maturity (5:43). Here is his day 2 presser:
