Jacob Trouba art

Rangers captain Jacob Trouba revealed this summer he has a passion for art and is now sharing it with everyone.

In a series of Instagram posts this weekend, Trouba wrote: “Sharing some of my art from the summer. A series of 8 pieces. Piece 6 of 8. 94” x 72” oil, acrylic, and emulsion on canvas.”

This past July, Trouba and his wife Kelly announced The Trouba Creative Expressions Art Program which showcases the artwork of young adults living with epilepsy.

“We wanted to do something with epilepsy and not many people know but I paint in the summer,” Trouba said.

Trouba, 29, registered 30 points in 82 games last season for the Rangers. His 196 shot blocks and 218 hits were tops on the team.

Rangers take in Giants game

The Blueshirts showed up to support the New York Giants last night at MetLife Stadium. Unfortunately, the Dallas Cowboys put on a spectacle by defeating the hometown team by a 40-0 final score.

Still, it was great to see the boys getting together and having some fun before the start of training camp.

MetLife Stadium will also play host to the Rangers vs Islanders Stadium Series contest set for February 18. Additional info on the game here.

MSG Networks releases broadcast schedule

Per MSG Network Press Release:

MSG Networks, the television home of the New York Rangers, today announced the team’s telecast schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 NHL season, which will include a total of 69 regular season games and 5 preseason games. The Rangers will open their preseason in Boston versus the Bruins on Sunday, September 24^th at 5:00pm on MSG Network.  MSG’s first regular season telecast will be on Thursday, October 12^th when the Rangers take on the Buffalo Sabres in Buffalo, with coverage beginning at 6:30pm.

Once again Sam Rosen and Joe Micheletti will lead the broadcasts in the booth with Kenny Albert covering radio play-by-play action on 98.7FM ESPN New York. Michelle Gingras will do in-game reporting while John Giannone, Steve Valiquette, and Henrik Lundqvist will do in studio coverage.
