Reports: Rangers send Howden to IR
According to Rangers beat writer Larry Brooks, the Rangers have placed forward Brett Howden on the injured reserve list.
Howden was injured at the end of January during the team’s first game after the all-star break, a 1-0 loss to the Flyers. Howden, who the Rangers acquired at last year’s deadline in the Ryan McDonagh/JT Miller trade with Tampa, got off to a good start in his rookie campaign, before ultimately hitting the “rookie wall” before his injury. In 48 games this season, the 20- year-old forward has recorded 15 points (4G, 11A). This is the corresponding move that allows Lias Andersson to enter the roster for tonight’s game against the Wild.
