NYR Sign David Desharnais for 1 year and 1M
Hello there, and Happy Fourth of July to everyone! While burgers are on the grill and the cold ones are on ice, the rumor mill is heating up with an unconfirmed report from Tout Sur le Hockey in Quebec, that the NYR are close to a deal with free agent center David Desharnais.

This report is now making its way around the Rangers blogosphere with no local beat yet picking it up. In an effort to obtain additional confirmation, we reached out to several sources. At this time it appears to be a one year deal on the table for the 30 year old center. Awaiting for official confirmation from the team.
If true, this should take care of the 4th line center role.
