Shatty comes home! As FullTilt previously reported, Shattenkirk takes less to play for the Rangers
It’s OFFICIAL! As we first reported back on June 12th, Kevin Shattenkirk has left millions on the table to come home.
The terms of the deal are perfect for the Rangers and Shattenkirk who should both benefit from a monetary and term standpoint. The Rangers still have plenty of cap space to improve their center position.

This has been quite a rollercoaster for something we and most felt was a foregone conclusion. It does prove that even in a situation like this, both side still posture for the best deal possible.
If Shattenkirk and the NYR come to terms tomorrow…it will prove what an incredible game of posturing went on.

We have maintained throughout that should Shattenkirk come to the Rangers he will be leaving money on the table to do so.
Once again FWIW, we have it on good authority that Shattenkirk will take a little less to be a #NYR, his childhood team.

Of course, we became unsettled when insiders like Bob McKenzie went on record that “he never got the sense the Rangers were really in on Shattenkirk”, or Brooks writing that the Rangers have no interest. We maintain, that our sources do not compare to the experts but are sources nonetheless.
At the end of the day, our information proved correct and we are happy to have been able to share it with you.
Keep reading and tell your friends.
