Smart move: Rangers shut down Jesper Fast

The Rangers made a wise move by shutting down Jesper Fast for the remainder of the season.

Jesper Fast will not play the rest of the season, per Quinn. Will rehab. Staal out tonight with lower body issue. Georgiev in nets.

Rangers are playing the Penguins tonight, but Marc Staal (lower body injury) will not be playing. Freddie Claesson is in for him. Chris Kreider is also not playing, and David Quinn says Jesper Fast is done for the season. Alex Georgiev is in net tonight, his 2nd straight start.

Fast has been dealing with an upper body injury for awhile now and it only makes sense for him to start getting better for next season. If possible, the Rangers should shut down Chris Kreider and Marc Staal as well.
