SUSPENSE! Rangers Vigneault May Not Announce Captain Today
Reality TV has nothing on our Blueshirts. Last night, Rick Carpiniello took to twitter to put a damper on everyone’s anticipation of learning who will wear the C next season.
Also, FYI, Alain Vigneault is not expected to reveal his new captain’s identity at training-camp opening press conference tomorrow.

The Blueshirts have been without a captain since March 5th, 2014. It looks like that’s about to extend by at least one more day.
Everyone believes that Ryan McDonagh will be the next captain so why delay the announcement? If AV choses to not make the call today, is it because he isn’t sure that McDonagh is the right choice? Does it give credence to the rumors that Marty St. Louis is very much in the conversation? All these these questions will be asked if he walks away from his presser without the announcement.
Of course, Mr. Carpiniello walked away from twitter last night in dramatic fashion with this:
