That settles it! Dan Girardi has a FULL NO MOVE CLAUSE and isn’t going anywhere, for now
In Larry Brooks’ Sunday column, he finally settles the confusion around Dan Girardi‘s contract that was put out by The Fourth Period Magazine.
[su_quote cite=”NYPOST” url=”https://nypost.com/2016/01/23/devastating-ko-and-ensuing-shrug-show-hockey-fights-must-end/”]Because there has been so much misinformation floating through the Internet recently regarding Dan Girardi’s no-move/no-trade clauses, we checked in once again for confirmation with Don Meehan, No. 5’s agent at Newport Sports, on the matter. “He is year 2 of a 6-year deal,” Meehan said in an email correspondence with Slap Shots on Friday. “He has a full no-move in the first 3 years and then in the last 3 years he can be traded to 15 teams.” That settles that.[/su_quote]
So there you have it. Any trade scenarios involving Dan Girardi possibly being moved at the deadline in order to improve or avoid having to deal Keith Yandle are down the drain. And stop mentioning scenarios in which he will waive it when he is proud to wear the Blueshirt and his team is happy to have him.
That settles it! So now the Girardi Haters can put it into overdrive for the rest of the season. Don’t you just love the internet?
