Kreider had been diagnosed with a blood clot in his arm and this surgery was the first step in the recovery process. The surgery was performed to help alleviate the symptoms of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, or TOS. Kreider is out for a minimum of six weeks, and if he is able to return this season, it wouldn’t be until roughly the final month of the regular season.
