Vigneault announces Miller to start at center, will Jagr’s phone ring next?
The Rangers have announced that J.T. Miller will be getting the start as the 3rd line center today. While this move was speculated on during the summer, the organization didn’t see him as a fit there.

So what changed their minds?
The inability to make a trade for a center is the obvious one. This also indicates that they likely don’t feel it is in their best interest to stunt Lias Andersson’s growth by putting him in a difficult situation so early on in his career.
This also indicates that the 4th line center battle will likely land with David Desharnais. That is of course neither Boo Nieves or Andrew Desjardins doesn’t steal it from him.
Could Jaromir Jagr get a call?
Many are shocked that Jaromir Jagr is not only without a contract, but not even an offer to come to camp. With Jesper Fast out for the beginning of the year, could the ageless wonder get a call for a return to Broadway?
We will find out soon enough.
