Watch: Jesper Fast injured in the first period on hit by Brady Skjei, unlikely to return

Jesper Fast was hit early in the first period, by former teammate Brady Skjei and left the game. After the hit, Fast looked wobbly and did not appear to be all there.

Jesper Fast never came back in the first period after Jaccob Slavin's goal. He stayed on the ice after getting hit by Brady Skjei, and then he lost Slavin in D zone coverage when the Canes D cut down from the left point into the left circle when Fast had his back to him.

David Quinn has shifted his lines a bit due to Fast’s injuries. You can expect to see more Kaapo Kakko and Julien Gauthier if Fast does not return.
