Officially unofficial news this morning that the Rangers have signed Kevin Shattenkirk to a 4 year deal worth 6.9 million dollars per year. Kevin Weeks of the NHLNetwork has confirmed what FullTiltNYR.com has just learned.
Unofficially,what I'm told is Shattenkirk signing with @NYRangers 4yrs 6.9 Million per year. @NHL @NHLNetwork .

Deal is expected to be officially announced as soon as FA opens at 12pm.
Editor’s Note: If this does become official it will corroborate our stories over the year that Shattenkirk would take a discount to play for the Rangers. In this case the discount is in years as it has been reported that NJ was looking to offer him a 7 year deal. – Anthony
UPDATE: Weekes’ report is being refuted or at least not confirmed yet.

Talked to Shattenkirk camp. He hasn't decided where he will sign yet, reports otherwise are premature.
