Wolf Pack add Jeff Taylor to defense
Chris Drury inked another player to the AHL/ECHL aspect of the organization earlier this afternoon with the signing of defenseman Jeff Taylor.
OFFICIAL: Hartford has signed Jeff Taylor to an
Ricky Milliner#AHL deal. Taylor, a 25 year old defenseman has spent the last two full season with the WB/Scranton Penguins & Wheeling Nailers. This is another depth signing, which provides grit. He is most likely destined for Maine.
The 7th round pick , 203rd overall of the 2014 draft has spent the last two full seasons between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Wheeling Nailers. In his stints with both teams, Taylor has racked up a good amount of penalty minutes within a limited number of games.
The signing is geared towards the Maine Mariners. However, as with everyone else coming into training camp, Jeff Taylor has the opportunity to earn himself a spot if he impresses.
Adding another player to the mix will not hurt the competitiveness that John Davidson wants in Hartford. The Maine Mariners are becoming built up as well from the players who were unable to secure a spot in Hartford. The whole organization should have a solid players all around to keep track off.
