WolfPack Playoff Hunt Week 5
Week four of the playoff hunt is behind us, and the Pack had a decent showing going 2-1-1-0 picking up five of a possible eight points.
While the goals were few and are between during the weekend, just three goals combined in three games, not including the shoot out. The offense came alive on Wednesday to help pick up a huge win against the Sound Tigers. The Pack sit in 11th place with 61 points, and are 14 points out of a final playoff spot.
The Week Ahead
The Wolfpack have a tough road ahead of them this weekend, as they play back to back games. On Friday, they take on fourth place St Johns, then finish the week on Saturday against last place Adirondack. St Johns is coming in to Hartford as the hottest team in the league. They have won nine of the last ten, and have been scoring 3.9 goals per game. The one time Hartford and St Johns played this year, St Johns out classed them and thumped the Pack 6-2. Hartford has had much better luck against Adirondack lately taking 7 of a possible 8 points, and winning three straight against the Phantoms.

Keys to the week:
Get the Offense Going.
The Pack have only scored two goals or less in four of the last five games. That includes being shutout once. In those five games they have only collected a total of 5 out of a possible 10 points. It goes without saying that if you want to win and pick up points, you need to score goals.
Ride the Hot Goalie
Dov Gurmet-Morris has been playing out of his mind the last month of the season. Giving up right around the 2 goals per game mark and saving pucks at at .936 clip, not only has Dov kept the Pack in every game he has started, he has been the main catalyst for recent success.
Stars Need to Lead the Way.
Simply put, its time for JT Miller, Danny Kristo, Oscar Lindberg and Jesper Fast to throw this team on their backs and lead them to the playoffs. When times are tough and you are in a pinch, the leaders need to lead the charge. While all four of these guys have been great individually, they have never been on their game at the same time. Now is the perfect opportunity for them to play at the highest possible level at the same time.
