Zuccarello Out With Injured Hand

The New York Rangers leading scorer is out for Norway’s huge elimination game versus Russia. Mats Zuccarello injured his hand blocking a shot in Norway’s last game against Austria. Yes, Alain Vigneault must be thrilled about that.

ASSESSING THE DAMAGE

The reports thus far are that his hand is swollen and bruised. Apparently, there is no break or fracture but he can’t grip a stick. If you want to look at a bright side, the NYR do not play for another 9 days. This should give the Zucc ample time to heal and be ready to play.
