Blueshirts Need To Bring A Game Against Blackhawks

The Blueshirts return to action tonight against the Chicago Blackhawks at Madison Square Garden. Cam Talbot will get the start as the Rangers look to pick up where they left off.
New York was rolling before the Olympic break to the tune of 7-3 in their last last 10. Meanwhile the Hawks were lukewarm at 4-3-3 in their last 10. What can we expect tonight will be a battle as both teams want to kick the home stretch to the playoffs right.
CHAOS IN THE NYR LOCKER ROOM
We all know what is going on and AV yesterday admitted it’s been a distraction. Dan Girardi did not skate at practice this morning, but it was optional. On the flip side Ryan Callahan did. For the record, neither means anything. I expect Dan Girardi in the lineup tonight, as well as Marc Staal who seems to have rebounded from his back spasms. Staal is a game-time decision.
Ryan Callahan should suit up, unless of course a trade is imminent. If for some reason that is the case, Derek Dorsett would slip right in.
THE CHAMPS ARE HERE
Lukewarm or not, these are the defending champs and they sport a star studded lineup. I fully expect Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane to take it to the Rangers tonight. NY will have their hands full as Duncan Keith will look to continue his Norris Trophy season and generate offense on the back end. If the Rangers want to win, they need to not only bring their A game but Talbot needs to be the star.
Fulltilt Forecast: I want to be wrong, but I think with everything surrounding the Rangers these days, the Hawks pick up the win. 3-1.
