Keith Yandle and James Sheppard set to make Rangers debut against Nashville (NSH v NYR 7PM)

James Sheppard is set to make NYR debut (nhl)

The “New Look” Rangers are set to take on NHL leading Nashville with their shiny new toys in the lineup. Keith Yandle who said he “was pumped” when he found out he was traded to NY is ready to go.

Glen Sather didn’t stop at Yandle yesterday as he moved Lee Stempniak to Winnipeg in order to make room for new acquisition James Sheppard. Shepard will be a UFA at the end of the season but is a big, rugged center who wins nearly 52% of his draws in the defensive zone.

Also, Mats Zuccarello and the Rangers finalized their 4 year deal with a limited no trade clause.

The Rangers don’t practice today but we expect to hear from Alain Vigneault, Glen Sather and the newest Rangers by 5PM.

The NHL trade deadline is at 3PM today.
