Update: McDonagh & Stempniak in, Glass gets the flu for clash versus Flyers (NYR at PHI 1PM)
The Rangers and Flyers will battle in two matinee tilts today and tomorrow. Yesterday was a day to be grateful, today is all about high sticks and face rubs! A rivalry continued – let’s go!

Also Lee Stempniak skating on line with Kevin Hayes and Carl Hagelin. ..other #NYR lines remain intact…John Moore is extra d-man in drills

UPDATE: Tanner Glass is now out of the lineup with “flu” like symptoms and it is John Moore who is the odd man out on defense. Yes, we told you Matt Hunwick could possibly replace John Moore in August! TOOT-TOOT
RANGERS TO WATCH
1. Cam Talbot – You know how Tampa’s Ben Bishop owns the NYR, starting to feel the same way about Talbot versus the Flyers.
2. Ryan McDonagh – The Captain is Back! Now just how much will AV use him?
3. NYR PP – With McDonagh now in the fold, how will AV set up his PP? Will he have both Dan Boyle and Ryan McDonagh on the top unit? It will be interesting for sure.
EYE ON THE ENEMY
1. Claude Giroux – He’s making a conscious effort to shoot more this year – how much more? He’s tied for the league lead in shots with Alex Ovechkin.
2. Wayne Simmonds – Back to back games versus the Rangers? He’s bound to do something good for the Flyers or tremendously stupid and end up in the sin bin – often.
3. Brayden Schenn – He’s been the unsung hero in Philly, having a quietly productive season with 7 goals and 15 points in 21 games.
FULLTILT FORECAST
Back under .500 with a 10-11. Certainly not my best start.
The Flyers are a mess having picked up only 3 points in their last 7 games. If the Rangers can put forth the efforts they have recently, this should be a home and home sweep.
