Mats Zuccarello wants to stay as Rangers prep for Flyers (NYR at PHI 8PM)
Mats Zuccarello was bombarded with questions today about the news that he may be on the trade block. “This is my team,” he said. Thus dismissing the notion he would rather be anywhere else.
Still, if we’ve come to know anything – Glen Sather is as tough as it comes to negotiations and has no fear of making a deal (i.e. Ryan Callahan).
The Rangers still need to put the distractions aside and focus on the task at hand, which is two crucial road points against the Flyers.

Season Series: (1-0)
Via NYR official site– The Rangers are looking to complete a four-game season series sweep of the Flyers Saturday night. The Blueshirts have won each of the first three meetings this season against the Flyers, outscoring Philly 10-2 along the way and shutting the Flyers out twice. On November 19 at Madison Square Garden Cam Talbot stopped all 31 shots he faced in a 2-0 shutout victory as Kevin Klein and Rick Nash scored the goals. Then on November 28 and 29 the Rangers swept a home-and-home from the Flyers–winning 3-0 in Philadelphia as Talbot again shut the Flyers out and then grabbing a 5-2 victory behind Henrik Lundqvist the next night at MSG. In the November 28 contest Martin St. Louis notched his 999th career point by assisting on a Dan Boyle goal ,and then reached the 1,000 point milestone by scoring a goal of his own early in the second period. With the three victories this season, the Rangers have now won 16 of their last 20 games against the Flyers.
