Penguins limp into MSG as Rangers look to get on track (PIT v. NYR 7pm)

The Rangers will be looking to play a focused and hard-working 60 minutes against a battered Penguins team tonight at the Garden.

Pittsburgh will be without the services of Patric Hornqvist and Olli Maatta who were both absent from today’s morning skate. Also defenseman Kris Letang is nursing a groin injury and is unlikely to suit up tonight.

On the Rangers front, Chris Kreider is doubtful due to an injury suffered at practice yesterday. He accidentally collided with Carl Hagelin and is suffering neck spasms. Tanner Glass is set to take his place.

NOTES:

FULLTILT FORECAST

My record is at 12-13 and not looking good.

It’s always darkest before dawn and the Pens are hurt but still a solid hockey club. If Kreider is out tonight it’s one less bullet in the chamber for the Rangers offense (even if he’s not scoring).
