Opportunity is knocking for the NY Rangers to take advantage of one of those four games in hand on the Islanders. Tonight in enemy territory the Blueshirts take on a strong Caps team with a chance to jump into first in the Metro Division.

Rick Nash tallied his first hat trick as a Ranger in the contest, while Derick Brassard recorded three assists and Mats Zuccarello notched two assists.
