Sometimes athletes find solace in the game. MSL will take to the ice in remembrance of his mother and to honor the obligation he made to the Rangers and his teammates. True heart.

Original Article from earlier today:
Yesterday, Martin St. Louis lost his mother unexpectedly at the age of 63. France St. Louis passed away in Quebec due to a heart attack. As of this afternoon, MSL was with his family in Montreal mourning her loss. It is highly unlikely that he will make his way back in time for game 5 in Pittsburgh. The FullTilt Hockey Network extends their condolences.

Regardless if MSL plays or not, the Rangers need to be much better defensively and gut out a win. This morning’s practice lines indicate the return of John Moore to the Rangers blue line. This is a move we certainly agree with, as FTR was adamant that he never needed to replaced to begin with. Also, Daniel Carcillo will remain in the lineup and should give the Rangers that nasty edge they will need to win in game 5.

Tonight, Henrik Lundqvist must settle down and focus. His performance in game 4 was lack luster and it needs to be better. Unfortunately for him, he doesn’t play for the high flying Blackhawks, so he needs to be stingier then ever. The Rangers have simply forgotten how to score in this series.
Ryan McDonagh also needs to play better as well. There is no doubt that he is nursing an upper body injury, stemming from that Alex Burrows hit in Vancouver late in the season. His upper body strength is not where it was before, and it’s showing against the much bigger and physical Evgeni Malkin.
It’s also last call for Rick Nash to salvage his season. The Rangers are on the brink of elimination and if they go out without a single goal from Nash in this post-season, the Rangers fan base will certainly set all their targets on #61.
FULLTILT FORECAST: The Rangers will bring it back to NY for game 6 on Sunday. 4-2 win for the Blueshirts.
