Rangers hope forecast is for goals against the Hurricanes (CAR v. NYR 7pm)
The hell with snow in this weekend’s forecast, the Rangers needs goals and they need them to accumulate. Tonight’s matchup against the suddenly surging Hurricanes, with a record of 7-2-2 in January, is all about scoring for NY.
The Rangers will look to get it going, in particular Mats Zuccarello, who we feel has 15 games to showcase what he’s got before the March 2nd Trade Deadline.
Before you jump for joy, yes the Rangers have won all three prior meetings against Carolina but have only scored 4 goals in the process. They won 2 of those games in the shootout.
