Rangers need a little more focus on defense tonight (NYR at BUF 7pm)
The Rangers will look to rebound with most likely Cam Talbot back in net for his ninth consecutive start. Of course, Alain Vigneault didn’t tip his hand after last night’s 5-4 shootout loss to Vancouver, so there’s a possibility 20 year old Mackenzie Skapski could get a spot start.
GAME 57: NEW YORK RANGERS AT BUFFALO SABRES , First Niagara Center, Buffalo, NY 7PM
No matter who is in net, a better defensive effort is needed as the Rangers are giving up way too many quality chances.

Season Series: (1-0)
Friday night’s contest–rescheduled after the original November 21 game was postponed due to a heavy snowstorm in Buffalo–is the second of three meetings between the Rangers and Sabres this season. The Rangers scored four times on their first nine shots in the first period en-route to a convincing 6-1 victory over the Sabres on January 3 at Madison Square Garden–New York’s fifth straight win over Buffalo, and ninth in the past 11 head-to-head meetings.
