Rangers react to Doc Emrick retiring

The New York Rangers and some of their players, both past and present are reacting to the news of Doc Emrick’s retirement. A video tribute of some of Doc’s greatest Blueshirts calls was posted by the team’s social media account.

Farewell to the great Doc Emrick

Doc Emrick gave Phil Mushnick of the NY Post the exclusive that he was retiring. “I hope I can handle retirement OK,” he told Phil Mushnick last night. “I’ve just been extremely lucky for 50 years. And NBC has been so good to me, especially since the pandemic, when I was allowed to work from home in a studio NBC created.”

What ensued since has been an outpouring of love and admiration from the hockey world.
