Skapski in, Klein hurt, Rangers should still crush Buffalo (NYR at BUF 7PM)
MacKenzie Skapski will make the second start of his career against a familiar foe. The Buffalo Sabres are once again on the Rangers’ schedule and it allows Alain Vigneault to rest Cam Talbot for Florida tomorrow.
BLOWOUT SIGNED PHOTO SALE GOING ON NOW!
Kevin Klein is also out due to an upper body injury (arm – don’t understand why the Rangers are being all Secret Squirrel about it). Tanner Glass is in the lineup, Â which is fine with me but still perplexing that James Sheppard is not being worked in.
Still, the Rangers should have enough firepower to destroy the Sabres back to the Stone Age tonight.

AV says Lundqvist’s workouts have been intense. Expects him to be able to play shortly after he’s cleared. But no updates on timetable.

SEASON SERIES
Via BlueshirtsUnited:Â The Rangers and Sabres will be meeting for the third and final time this season on Saturday with New York looking to complete a sweep of the season series. On January 3 at Madison Square Garden the Rangers hammered the Sabres 6-1 as six different Blueshirts scored a goal and 13 different players notched at least one point. Rick Nash and Derick Brassard both had a goal and an assist and Martin St. Louis added a pair of assists in the win. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 24 of 25 between the pipes in a game where the Rangers scored four goals on their first nine shots in the opening period. On February 21 in Buffalo Mackenzie Skapski made his NHL debut in goal as the Rangers gave him his first NHL victory with a 3-1 win. Skapski stopped 24 shots, and Nash scored the game-winning goal. New York enters play Saturday having won six straight games against the Sabres.
