St. Louis Is Set To Make His Broadway Debut Tonight
Tonight at Madison Square Garden the “new look” Rangers take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Blueshirts have made the arrangements to ensure new acquisition Martin St. Louis will be in the lineup.
Ray Ferraro noted on TSN that Marty will reunite with buddy Brad Richards on a line with Carl Hagelin on the opposite flank. The Rangers have 3 scoring lines for the first time since…the 1970’s? In all seriousness I do not remember when the NYR had this much scoring up front.
Of course the game against Toronto is not played on paper and Henrik Lundqvist will need to face Phil Kessel and company. The Leafs have lost 3 in a row (2 in the shootout) and the NYR have lost back to back heading into tonight. Both these teams are looking to right the ship so expect some chippy play with a mix of skill.
Fulltilt Forecast: Marty St. Louis will make a splash and be named 1st star. Take it to the bank. I expect a dominant performance and a big NYR win. 5-1 sure sounds sweet.
