Watch Golden Knights pay tribute to Rangers’ Gallant and Reaves
New York Rangers head coach Gerard Gallant and forward Ryan Reaves returned to Vegas for the first time since their departures.
Knights honor Gallant
Gallant coached the Golden Knights in their inaugural season and led to the Stanley Cup Final where they lost to the Washington Capitals (2017-18).
In his two and half season in Vegas, Gallant’s regular season record was 118-75-20. For his 27 playoff games it was 16-11.
The Golden Knights honored Gallant before the game with a video tribute before the game.
Knights honor Reaves
Ryan Reaves started the game for the New York Rangers and received a nice ovation.
The physical forward played 209 games for the Knights picking up 18 goals, 24 assists for 42 points. Of course his 837 hits and 158 penalty minutes is what made him a fan favorite.
