Jacob Trouba will not face NHL discipline for blasting Dal Colle (with video)

Last night Jacob Trouba absolutely rocked the Islanders Michael Dal Colle with what is now officially deemed a clean hit by the league. The video below shows multiple angles of the hit.

Legal Hit

From last night: no discipline for Jacob Trouba coming from the league.

As the rules are written now, not all head contact is illegal. If the league AND the players have an appetite to change that, then they will.

While the league felt the hit was legal, new Islander Jean Gabriel Pageau took it upon himself to shell out justice. It didn’t work out too well for him either.
