Justin Richards was an undrafted free agent signing out of college in 2020. In the Rangers win over the Bruins, he played a solid 14:58. The 23 year-old center is now on his way to the AHL where he scored 11 points in 20 contests last season.

Back in 2020, Richards gave us a rundown on why he chose the Rangers over other teams.

“They left it up to me to decide where I wanted to go, but they were there to guide me through a few of the things that I had to consider when making my decision,” he recalled. “When I told them where I wanted to go, they were so happy and excited for me and as a kid, that’s all I could’ve asked for.”

NHL Rumors

We can all agree that the soap opera that has become the Buffalo Sabres and Jack Eichel would rival some of the great TV classics. Slap an old soap title and it seems to fit. The Young and the Restless, or how about As the World Turns? Try on General Hospital for size, or One Life to Live. These titles seem to apply in one way or another.

One NHL Insider has an idea to help end this. Read more.
