Seattle Kraken Expansion Rumors
The Seattle Kraken won’t be making their first expansion draft selection until July 21, but now there’s a clearer picture of who will be available. The Athletic has been running mock drafts all season and have done so again. What makes this better is we are now past the trade deadline which establishes a good idea of whom will be exposed.
Brett Howden likely Kraken selection in expansion draft
The Seattle Kraken will have a nice group to select from. While the list of exposed Rangers will include DeAngelo, Brett Howden, Kevin Rooney, Julien Gauthier, and Keith Kinkaid it will be a decision between the first two.
Connor McDavid chasing 100 points
Normally, Connor McDavid chasing down 100 points in a season is a pretty ho-hum storyline. This season, context is key. The young start that wears the #97 for the Edmonton Oilers has 81 points in just 46 games for a staggering 1.76 points per game. Prorated out for a full 82 game season and the 24 year-old center is on pace for 144 points.
