Rangers Roundup: Checking in on the playoffs, trade targets, and more
Good Morning Blueshirts fans! The NHL playoffs is now going to see three game sevens in round two and all of them impact where the Rangers will draft.
The Rangers second 1st rd draft pick situation
Anyone remember that little explainer video the Rangers put out? Well here it is again to help understand with three game 7’s now coming up. All of which, directly impact the second 1st rd Rangers pick.
So if the Canucks, Stars, and Islanders all win, they get the 21st pick. If all three lose they will select 24th. If one advances, they move up to 23. Should two advance it will be 22.
I have a feeling that Rangers fans would be fine picking 22nd as long as the Islanders lose.
Rangers prospect update
Vitali Kravtsov debuted on Traktor’s second line for their opening game of the KHL season. He had no points.
The other Finn, Lauri Pajuniemi had an assist in his first game in Liiga.
