Rangers Roundup: Colin Blackwell scores twice for Team USA, Matthew Robertson claims WHL accolade, and more
Team USA got a huge lift from New York Rangers forward Colin Blackwell. In their dominant 6-1 victory over Slovakia, he scored twice moving the team into the medal round.

While Blackwell was filling the net, his other Rangers teammates had strong games too. Zac Jones added an assist and finished with a +4 rating, while Kevin Rooney had no points but a +3 game.
“I’m just happy for the guys. We’re facing some adversity here with injuries, and to see that pull the group even closer, I couldn’t be prouder of them,” said head coach Jack Capuano. “We’ll see how tonight’s games shake out before knowing our next opponent, but our group is excited to know we have a chance to play for a medal and make some history.”
Team USA
Team USA will play the lowest seeded team in their next game which will be on Saturday. Their opponent has yet to be determined.
Team USA last won Gold at the WC in 1960. They last claimed Silver in 1956 and Bronze in 2018. In total USA has 2 Gold, 9 Silver, 8 Bronze for a total of 19 medals since 1920.
