Rangers Roundup: Panarin top winger in NHL, logo history, and latest rumors
What a first year for Artemi Panarin with the New York Rangers. His 95 points was enough to earn him Hart Trophy finalist. He would’ve easily shattered the 100 point mark if not for the COVID-19 pause. And now he is considered the top winger by NHL Network experts.
Panarin tops the list
Dan Rosen of NHL.com noted that Panarin was the best winger one either flank last season. For him there is no question who the best winger in the league is heading into next year.
He’s 29 years old and has played in 391 NHL games. In three years he’ll be a 32-year-old who will have played in a shade over 600 games, meaning he won’t have a lot of miles on him. The Rangers should be among the better teams in the League. They should play fast. Panarin could be on the same line with Kaapo Kakko, who will be a more developed 22-year-old in three years.
