On the latest edition of TSN’s Insider Trading, Darren Dreger noted that Tony DeAngelo has a ton of interest. Per a source, he could be traded within days.

Tony DeAngelo trade coming

Yesterday, Pat Brisson spoke with Darren Dreger and noted that his client is at home waiting for a deal. It was revealed that the Rangers are in talks with teams interested in the 25 year-old defenseman who was the 4th leading scorer last season for blue-liners.

“After the first game of the season, he was told he wasn’t going to play,” Gorton began. He was referring to DeAngelo’s two game scratch after an unnecessary unsportsmanlike penalty.

“Tony wasn’t able to move on from that,” he explained. “I had spoke to him at that time and said – listen, if there’s any more issues here the time is gonna come where we’re gonna put you on waivers and move on.”

“I made that statement to him – something happened and I pretty much have to stay true to my word, and the organization’s word that it was time to move on,” Gorton concluded.
