The Rangers announced moments ago that forward Filip Chytil and defenseman Ryan Lindgren have been recalled by the Rangers.

Chytil, who spent his entire rookie season with the Rangers, didn’t make the team out of training camp. The young Czech has been tearing up the AHL so far, registering nine points (3G, 6A) through the Pack’s first nine games.

Lindgren spent just five games with the Blueshirts last season, spending the bulk of his time with Hartford. Lindgren was named an alternate captain for the Wolf Pack entering this season, and has registered two points (G,A), among with six PIMS and a +8 in the young season.

It will be interesting to see who gets sent down. With Zibanejad being day to day and Fast out for personal reasons, Chytil should slide right into the lineup. As for Lindgren, it is a little less clear cut how the 21-year-old will be used in David Quinn’s lineup.
