Panarin could score 100 points this season

Artemiy Panarin has been everything NYR fans dreamed of since he signed this past July. The star that wanted to be a Blueshirt is delivering a points pace that could crack the century mark. If he does, he will be the first to do so since Jaromir Jagr in the 2005/06 season (123 points).

Points Pace

Panarin has 21 points in 17 games. That’s 1.23 points per game, and at that pace in a full 82 games would be 101 points. Currently, he is also flirting with a 40 goal season. The last Ranger to notch 40 or more was Rick Nash in the 2014/15 (42).

Driving His Own Offense

Considering the way Panarin and Mika Zibanejad clicked, one could wrongly believe that Panarin needs an elite center to produce. However, prior to Mika’s injury against Boston, Panarin produced 9 points in 9 games.

Since Zibanejad exited the lineup, Panarin has kept the team more than afloat with his offensive production. In the last 8 games, Panarin has 12 points and the Rangers have gone 5-2-1.

Career Highs

GOALS – 31 (2016/17)

ASSISTS – 59 (2018/19)

POINTS – 87 (2018/2019)

2019/20 PACE: 38 G, 63 A, 101 P
