Let’s begin with this…my damn pipes have frozen again thanks to this Arctic chill that has swept over NY and much of the Northeast. And since Hell may have frozen over as well, it could be a good indication that the Rangers may finally snap the Isles winning streak over them this season.

GAME 545: NEW YORK RANGERS at NEW YORK ISLANDERS, Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale, NY 7PM

Cam Talbot continues to man the pipes for the Blueshirts as Henrik Lundqvist heals from his vascular injury. Cam is coming off an impressive performance in Arizona where he only allowed 1 goal on 35 shots, including a penalty shot.

Rick Nash continues his MVP play with 35 goals on the season and leads the Rangers offense into Nassau Coliseum. Also surging are Kevin Hayes and Mats Zuccarello with 9 points each in their last 8 games.

The Islanders continue to play strong hockey and are winners of their last 4 games. Halak who has dominated the Rangers this season will look to ensure that their winning streak over the Rangers continues.
