Rangers blow by Hurricanes – GIF’s of the Game

You gotta give it up to Anthony, when he’s right, he’s right. He predicted that the Rangers would blow by the Hurricanes, and they did just that. I’ll admit I was nervous after a shaky first five minutes of the game from the blueshirts, but once the rust wore off the Rangers came right back to playing the high quality hockey we’ve seen so much from them already this season. As soon as the puck dropped, Henrik Lundqvist became the all time Rangers leader in appearances by a goalie appearing in his 734rd game. Henrik Lundqvist would break another record with his 8th save of the game, which gave him the most career saves in Rangers history beating out Mike Richter with 19,405 saves. Congrats and thanks to Henrik Lundqvist for all he has done for this organization thus far.

After receiving first star honors once again, Henrik Lundqvist tossed his stick into the crowd, and then chaos ensued.

I have a feeling that will be the last time Henrik throws his stick into the crowd, maybe just hand it to someone next time Hank?

The Rangers will be staying home for the rest of the week as they wait for their matchup against the St. Louis Blue on Thursday. This should be a real good matchup for this Rangers team to show that they are truly contenders once again, and that this outstanding start isn’t just a fluke.
