Hajek, who was a key piece in the Ryan McDonagh trade last season, has been the topic of a lot of discussion this year in Rangerstown. Now that he’ll be getting a chance with the Blueshirts, the 21-year-old will get a chance to show Rangers fans just what he can do on the ice.
Libor Hajek leads all AHL players who are in their U21 season or younger in games played in 2018-19 (58).
He led all tournament d-men in assists (7) and was tied for first among tournament d-men in points (8) while representing the Czech Republic at the 2018 IIHF WJC. #NYR

Yes, Hajek has struggled in the AHL. Let’s also not place that all at his feet because individual performance is impacted by team. The Pack are bad and that must be accounted for in the criticism. At 21 he can start developing here.
