The Rangers have a few names that they have been linked too over the past weeks. We only included players that have credible sources reporting on them.

Mark Letestu

The Rangers have been linked to Mark Letestu for a few months. Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch explained that Letestu doesn’t want to leave Columbus on Twitter.

The Fourth Period released an article on February 18th  explaining that Letestu was being sought after by the Rangers. Letestu fits the bill of what the Rangers have been searching for. He is solid defensively, wins 53.6% of his face-offs, plays center and wing, is a right handed shot, and is inexpensive.

Tyler Bozak

Bozak has been all over the Rangers rumor radar this past week. Larry Brooks of the New York Post reported that the Leafs have tried to sell the Rangers on Bozak, “the 28-year-old center’s contract that has three years remaining at $4.2 million, have come knocking Sather’s door a number of times offering their No. 42 as a goodie too good to resist.”

Bozak has top end talent, but only has 39 points so far this year. Bozak is the most expensive target the Rangers are looking at, as he is currently the best center on the Maple Leafs. Darren Dreger said that there is a 60% chance that Bozak is moved by the deadline.

Cam Atkinson

Atkinson started popping up in Rangers rumors today when Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch sent out this tweet,

Atkinson is a talented winger, who is right handed and could help the power play. This year he has 25 points, 8 of which came on the power play. Atkinson also has excellent speed and would fit into the Rangers system. If the Rangers are going to grab him they will likely have to out bid Boston.
