The New York Rangers are back in action tonight against the Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center. The Rangers will be looking to quickly forget the lackluster performance they put together on Tuesday night in Carolina.

Just like he did back in December when the 2 teams met, Cam Talbot will get the start with the Rangers playing the first of back to back games.

Luke Warm

We’ve seen the Rangers go through some tough stretches on the year, but now shouldn’t be a time for one to pop up. Since returning from the Olympic Break the Blueshirts are just 2-4-1, with Columbus, Philadelphia, New Jersey & Washington nipping at their heals.

Mats Zuccarello and Brad Richards were given maintenance days yesterday but I fully expect them to be back in the lineup tonight. I wouldn’t be shocked if we got to see deadline acquired Raphael Diaz in the lineup tonight as yesterday Alain Vingeault juggled the defensive pairings at practice.

Looking for a Bounce

The Wild will be looking to bounce back after being losers of 3 straight, 2 of which were in the shootout. Darcy Keumper will get his chance in net at a bounce back win for the Wild.

The Wild are finally a team that is starting to get healthy, and with newly acquired forward Matt Moulson, to go along with players like Zach Parise & Jason Pominville, this team can definitely put the puck in the net if you make one simple mistake.

FullTilt Forecast

I think the Rangers rebound nicely and Martin St. Louis will get his first goal as a Blueshirt. Rangers win 3-2.
