Rangers Recall Georgiev

The Rangers announced moments ago that goaltender Alexandar Georgiev has been recalled from Hartford.

As was expected when he was sent to the AHL, Georgiev got some action over the weekend, playing two games for the Rangers minor league club on their road trip through Canada. Georgiev hadn’t seen any ice time since he started in Carolina when the Blueshirts fell 8-5 down in Raleigh. Georgiev will be the Blueshirts backup going forward, and Marek Mazanec will be heading back to Hartford.
