Rangers ride Alexandar Georgiev again as they face-off against Boston

David Quinn has just announced that Alexandar Georgiev will start against the Bruins today at the Garden. It will be his third straight start as the Rangers go for their fifth straight win and continue to push for a wild card spot.

  • Today’s game is the third of three meetings between the Rangers and Bruins, and the second of two meetings between the two teams at MSG. The Rangers have posted a 0-1-1 record (0-1-0 at home; 0-0-1 on the road), and the Bruins won the last game between the two teams, 3-2, in overtime on Nov. 29 at Boston.
  • The Rangers have won eight of their last 12 home games, dating back to Dec. 22 (8-4-0 record), and have outscored their opponents, 48-32, in the 12 contests. The Blueshirts have also earned at least one point in 14 of their last 22 home games (13-8-1 record).
