There’s obviously no inside info, but it is nice to hear the thoughts of professionals that are in a position to draft one of these two franchise players.

Zuccarello In Dallas?

Mats Zuccarello endeared himself quickly to the fans in Dallas, but more importantly to his teammates, coach, and new GM. The rumors have it that Dallas is seriously considering keeping Zucc and thus giving the Rangers another 1st round pick in 2020.

Here’s what you need to know. Next year’s draft is considered to be very deep. However, the Stars are in win now territory with the likes of Benn and Seguin on the roster. It’s going to boil down to contract and the fact that Dallas has no state income tax. That means a deal at around $4M a year would have to be easily over $5M anywhere else.

Odds are looking good that Dallas will keep him.

Panarin in Florida?

Artemi Panarin and his teammate and fellow UFA, Sergei Bobrovsky were vacationing on the beaches of Florida. They posted pictures on Instagram and were having a good time.

Of course rumors about them dismissing playing in Florida ran rampant as they usually do this time of year. As per the players themselves, this was just a vacation and nothing more.
