Rangers Roundup: Vitali Kravtsov injury news blackout, Henrik Lundqvist loving D.C., and so long Doc

There are three Rangers storylines we need to follow closely, but there has been no new information on any of them. At the top are the arbitration cases for Ryan Strome, and Brendan Lemieux. Then there is Vitali Kravtsov’s injury that happened well over two weeks ago. As of now it’s a media blackout in Russia about it.

While we wait on those topics, let’s check in on some news related to the Rangers in one way or another.

Henrik Lundqvist loves D.C.

Henrik Lundqvist paid a visit to his new City yesterday and posted it to his social media accounts. It sure looks like Henrik is ready for his next challenge.

So long Doc Emrick

In an exclusive report by the NY Post, legendary hockey broadcaster Mike “Doc” Emrick is retiring. “I hope I can handle retirement OK,” he told Phil Mushnick last night. “I’ve just been extremely lucky for 50 years. And NBC has been so good to me, especially since the pandemic, when I was allowed to work from home in a studio NBC created.”

We wish Doc Emrick well. You will be missed by the hockey world.
