Rangers Roundup: Watch Kaapo Kakko start ramping up his on ice workout and more
The big news is of course the ongoing vote on the return to play scenario. It is expected that the NHLPA will approve the format moving to the next hurdles. While we wait, here’s the latest concerning the Rangers including Kaapo Kakko ramping up his on ice workouts.
Kakko On Ice
Kaapo Kakko posted this video on his Instagram story shooting and passing pucks with we believe are two other Rangers prospects (Lauri Pajuniemi and Tarmo Reunanen).
Kakko who at the pause had 10 goals and 23 points in 66 games could be a wildcard for the Rangers in the postseason. The break may have only served Chris Kreider better to heal his broken foot. Kakko should be fresh both mentally and physically and could power a third line for the Rangers in these playoffs.

MSG Network News
David Quinn will now have his own show on MSG Networks. The charismatic coach has been featured often on MSG lately with his appearances on MSG AT HOME. The new show will be Hosted by Michelle Gingras and Steve Valiquette and will be called “Home Ice with David Quinn”. Airing Sunday nights at 7PM it will give Rangers fans tremendous insight into his coaching style and what is going on with the team.
All upcoming episodes will also be available on MSG GO, MSG Networks’ live streaming and video on demand platform for smartphones, tablets and computers. For a look back at the first three episodes in the series, viewers can visit MSG GO, MSGNetworks.com or the network’s YouTube channel.Press Release
I also asked MSG Network execs with the success of Rangers classic games being aired during the NHL Pause, if they will continue. I even pitched the idea of maybe special access to a “vault” on the MSG GO app for cable subscribers. Here’s what was said, “I think there could definitely be an opportunity to continue it somehow once games are back.” That’s great news as I conducted a poll on Twitter which returned a positive response. So far 49% of fans want more with 25% of fans claiming they haven’t watched any.
